Cloud Operations Manager
Will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our cloud infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize our cloud resources.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cloud operations professionals. Provide guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the team’s success.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management, monitoring, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure on GCP. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems.
- Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response procedures. Coordinate with the team to promptly address and resolve incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
- Cost Management: Optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness. Monitor usage, analyze cost patterns, and implement strategies to optimize cloud spending without compromising performance and reliability.
- Security Compliance: Ensure that cloud-based systems adhere to security standards and compliance requirements. Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce security policies and practices.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring and alerting systems to track the performance and health of cloud services. Analyze performance metrics and proactively address issues to maintain optimal system performance.
- Capacity Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast resource requirements. Conduct capacity planning exercises to ensure our cloud infrastructure meets current and future demands.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure that the team has access to up-to-date and accurate documentation.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of services
