Position Title: IT Shipboard Project Manager- Infrastructure
Position Type: 1-year contract- high likelihood of extension
Location: Miami, FL- up to 50% of international travel required.
Work Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holders only.
Referral Fee: +/- $1000 based on the hours worked per month.

Position Overview:
The Project Manager position is a critical role within the Delivery team that helps support various infrastructure related projects including CCTV, Servers, Routers, Switches, Network, and Microsoft upgrades across several of our client’s entities.

Primarily responsible for the task management of strategic ship and land development projects for our client while aiding the Program Management team in driving and overseeing all day-to-day activities of a particular project and for keeping a birds-eye view of the program operations.

Leads all project stakeholders (internal teams and contractors) to gather, analyze, and report data for recommended courses of action. Proactively collaborates, plans and drive activities of the strategic projects to ensure project completion within prescribed time frame and budget. Projects assigned are typically high priority, high profile, and multi-departmental initiatives for the organization and thus require continuous communication and interaction with the project team and department executives.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT delivery teams, either directly or indirectly, as well as coach and mentor team members.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner.
  • Manage client relationships and set appropriate expectations.
  • Facilitate ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and retrospection.
  • Schedule project meetings with meeting agendas and briefing materials.
  • Identify, track, and help remove impediments.
  • Lead project budget management.
  • Meet and update stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent. regarding project issues and decisions based on the audience.
  • Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, delivery quality, and team member performance.
  • Organize activities per the company’s mission, standards, and goals.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


  • Experience in managing large and complex technology projects.
  • Understanding of fundamentals of IT architecture and systems to deliver solutions.
  • Experience in integrating multiple systems across the enterprise.
  • Functional knowledge and experience in implementing large and complex solutions for infrastructure projects is a must, with software and data experience a plus.
  • Ability to follow and understand construction drawings as well as work and data flow charts.
  • Need to have a working knowledge of various delivery methodologies like Waterfall and Agile.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the year, but typically is 30%.
  • PMP certification with Scrum certifications a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; preference would be business or IT.
  • Experience leading medium to complex infrastructure projects, typically with team sizes of up to 50 people.
  • Experience managing three million-plus budgets.
  • Proven expertise in working with senior leadership and successfully managing business and technical resources under an integrated project plan to ensure alignment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, change management, and influencer skills.
  • Experience in anticipating stakeholder needs.
  • Experience with Jira and Microsoft Project.
  • Whatever it takes attitude to get things done, including stepping in outside of the job responsibilities and getting your hands dirty.
  • Local candidate a plus.
  • Shipboard cruise experience is a plus.
  • Ship drydock experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a construction environment is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to go to ships, go up and down stairs (elevators are not always accessible), and walk extensively from one end of the ship to another.
  • Locate and retrieve needed equipment for your project on the ship or in a shipyard.
  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor)
  • Physical demands of activity may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
  • Require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling materials.

Work Hours & Travel:

  • Current company policy is hybrid, in the Miramar office Monday through Wednesday and remote Thursday and Friday.
  • When not on a ship, a 40-hour workweek.
  • On a ship or traveling, you are paid a minimum 12-hour workday.
  • Ship deployments typically can last up to 6 weeks at a time.
  • Drydocks typically take place in Cadiz, Singapore, Freeport, and Marseille
  • In-service work typically takes place in the Caribbean.
  • The company pays for travel and expenses per the corporate guidelines.
