Position Overview:
Gravity is looking for a Product Management Coach that will be responsible for providing guidance, training, and coaching to product teams on the techniques of product discovery and leadership. They play a crucial role in transitioning teams from a feature-focused approach to an empowered product-centric mindset. Successful candidates for this role are former product managers, product designers, or tech leads with a deep understanding of effective product discovery practices and a passion for sharing their knowledge with others.


  1. Explore Markets and Users:
    • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand market dynamics.
    • Apply market segmentation techniques to identify target audiences.
    • Understand end-user needs through empathy and research.
  2. Connect with the Customer:
    • Foster a customer-centric mindset within the team.
    • Empathize with customers and involve them continuously in the product development process.
    • Apply Design Thinking principles to understand and address customer needs.
    • Facilitate Customer Journey Mapping and enhance Customer Experience.
  3. Define Product Strategy, Vision, and Roadmaps:
    • Align product strategy with business objectives.
    • Identify customer value propositions and communicate a compelling product vision.
    • Manage flexible roadmaps that adapt to changing business objectives and customer needs.
  4. Manage and Prioritize the Product Backlog:
    • Guide feature creation and prioritize features using techniques such as Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF).
    • Support architectural runway and participate in all quarterly/PI Planning activities.
  5. Deliver Value:
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the value stream.
    • Ensure product completeness from the customer’s perspective.
    • Partner with marketing, sales, and other teams to prepare for product launches.
    • Define and track the tangible and intangible value of the product within the enterprise context.
  6. Budget and Capacity Management:
    • Manage the development value stream and product budget effectively.
    • Allocate capacity in alignment with business objectives.


  1. Proven Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or in related roles.
  2. Product Management Skills:
    • Deep understanding of product management principles, methodologies, and frameworks, including but not limited to:
      • Product Vision and Strategy
      • OKR techniques
      • Product Discovery and Prototype Techniques
      • Product Roadmaps
      • Business Objectives
  3. Agile Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience with Agile mindsets, values, principles, and frameworks.
  4. Leadership Skills:
    • Strong leadership and people skills, with experience in developing leadership capabilities in others.
  5. Communication and Presentation Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in delivering presentations, workshops, or training sessions.
  6. Strategic Thinking:
    • Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform product strategies and decisions.
  7. Collaborative Nature:
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive product success.
  8. Continuous Learning:
    • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product management.
  9. Certification(s) Preferred:
    • Possession of one or more certifications such as CSPO, CPM, SAFe POPM, SAFe APM, or similar credentials is an advantage.
