Position Overview
Gravity is looking for a skilled and experienced Network Administrator that will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and security. This role involves managing a complex environment of Windows Servers, implementing network policies and procedures, troubleshooting network issues, and collaborating with other IT teams to support our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain our network infrastructure, including Windows Servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Install, configure, and optimize network hardware and software components to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Monitor network performance and security, proactively identify and resolve issues, and implement necessary changes to enhance performance and mitigate risks.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement network upgrades, expansions, and new deployments.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in network administration, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, managing large-scale network infrastructures, preferably in a Windows Server environment.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with network security tools and techniques, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good to have: Experience or certification as an Azure Administrator, including knowledge of Azure networking services and cloud infrastructure management.
