Job Title: Scrum Master

Location: Charlotte, NC (hybrid)

Job-Type: Contract

Position Overview:

Gravity is looking for an Scrum Master to join our client’s Research Management Systems team. In this position, you will play a vital role in directing and supporting agile processes to build high level software solutions for investment teams to use.

The successful candidate will possess 2+ years of experience in a heavy Agile setting as a Scrum Master. Additionally, this individual should have experience in the asset management/financial services space.

They source differentiated opportunities and build long-term portfolios across public and private fixed income, real estate, ad specialist equity markets. With investment professionals based across the globe, the firm is able to effectively serve its clients and their 350 billion AUM. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Direct Agile development process and ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

· Guide and coach development team on Agile principles and practices, promoting self-organization and cross-functional collaboration

· Work closely with the product owner and technical lead to prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring the team is working on the most valuable features to project timelines

· Manage and resolve impediments that may prevent the team from achieving their sprint goals, taking necessary actions to ensure project success

· Actively promote and ensure adherence to Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, advocating for Agile values and principles 

Required Experience & Skills:

· 2+ years of experience facilitating Scrum and Kanban methodologies in a software development setting, preferably in the Financial Services industry

· 2+ years of experience communicating and facilitating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

· 2+ years of experience problem-solving, addressing challenges and removing obstacles for development teams 

· 2+ years of experience leading and guiding Agile development teams to hitting project milestones 

· 2+ years of experience presenting project updates to an executive level audience
