Job Title: Data Architect

Location: Miami, Florida or Dallas, Texas or Bentonville, Arkansas

Job-Type: Direct Hire

Employment Eligibility: Gravity cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer directly (we are not open to contract or “corp to corp” agreements).

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Architect to join our team. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data strategy, designing and implementing robust data solutions, and providing leadership and guidance to our team of architects and solution designers.

  1. Data Strategy and Architecture: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy, including master data management (MDM) initiatives, to support our business objectives and drive innovation.
  2. Platform Expertise: Utilize your expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS) stack, including Snowflake and Azure, to architect and implement scalable and efficient data platforms.
  3. Solution Design and Mentoring: Act as a mentor and coach to our solutions architects, providing guidance and technical expertise in designing and configuring ETL processes and data ingestion pipelines.
  4. Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader in data architecture and management, identifying opportunities to enhance data ingestion, enrichment, and governance processes.
  5. RFP Evaluation: Evaluate technology solutions and vendors through RFP processes, ensuring alignment with our technology needs and standards.
  6. Collaboration and Governance: Collaborate with other architects to evaluate and validate data solutions, ensuring alignment with security, governance, and compliance requirements.
  7. Data Integration and Enrichment: Lead efforts to integrate and enrich data from various enterprise sources, ensuring data quality and consistency across the organization.
  8. Architectural Processes: Define and establish architectural processes and standards, including governance frameworks, to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our data platforms.


  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in data architecture and management, with a strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms.
  3. Extensive experience with AWS stack, Snowflake, and Azure, with a focus on data fabric and mash technologies.
  4. Proven expertise in master data management (MDM) and data governance principles.
  5. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
  6. Ability to collaborate and interact with stakeholders at director and above levels.
  7. Experience with RFP evaluation and vendor selection processes.
  8. Understanding of architectural concepts and frameworks, with a focus on building scalable and secure data solutions.
