PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Business Analyst is a key player in aligning business objectives with technical solutions. Their role is pivotal in today’s data-driven business environment where the use of data in problem-solving and decision-making is crucial. They are responsible for analyzing organizational data, identifying gaps, and recommending solutions that meet business needs and priorities. By engaging with stakeholders, they facilitate understanding of how data-driven changes can improve efficiency and add value.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 

  • Business Case Development: Develop and document comprehensive business cases based on key business and technical requirements.
  • Requirements Gathering: Conduct interviews and research to understand and document key business requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including internal/external clients and development teams, to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic roadmap.
  • Business-Data Technology Liaison: Act as a bridge between business and technology units, ensuring that data technology solutions align with business objectives.
  • Complex Business Problem Analysis: Understand and break down intricate business issues, assessing how automation and data-driven approaches can be implemented to solve them.
  • Operational Inefficiency Identification: Spot areas of inefficiency within business operations and recommend enhancements, with a particular focus on data-driven scalability, automation, and agility.
  • Value Articulation: Understand how data-driven changes to process, products, services, software, and hardware can improve efficiency and add value in measurable ways.
  • Data Analysis & Recommendations: Analyze business data to inform strategic decisions; present actionable insights to executives and stakeholders.
  • Planning & Management: Ensuring key stakeholders are aware of current or future development activities, as well as tracking and managing the progression of business cases through their lifecycle.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, finance, computer science or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Experience:
 

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or 2-5 years of experience in a healthcare  technology and/ or business environment
  • Experience analyzing complex issues and/or requests to provide effective solutions with the ability to identify root cause, communicate options and propose solutions

Knowledge and Skills:
 

  • Must have a Growth Mindset
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Strong ability to bridge the gap between multiple departments or levels of expertise to effectively communicate outcomes and solutions in a comprehensive and meaningful manner
  • Strong ability to work cross functionally between department to build relationships and analyze reports or data and presenting it in a way that is comprehensive to all relevant parties
  • Experience with technology solutions in the healthcare space
  • Experience working with development teams and multiple stakeholders to coordinate efforts for the same goal
  • Experience identifying requirements and writing user stories based on product owner, developer, and QA feedback with business needs
  • Experience managing project scope to deliver quality results
  • Able to discuss technical solutions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to learn quickly and think creatively
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary
