The IT Manager plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of a company’s computer and information systems. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of technology infrastructure, implementing policies, and driving strategic IT initiatives. The position has one IT helpdesk Technician direct report. This role works onsite in in Toledo, Ohio, Monday- Friday 8am-5pm.
Key Responsibilities.

  1. · Manage and evaluate all technology operations, including ERP, network security, system maintenance, and software development.
  2. Ensure that technology functions align with established goals and objectives.
  3. Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support strategies set by upper management.
  4. Analyze business requirements across departments to determine technology needs.
  5. Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
  6. Inspect the use of technological resources to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  7. Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and report to upper management.
  8. Control the IT budget and provide expenditure reports.
  9. Coordinate IT managers and supervise computer scientists, technicians, and other professionals.
  10. Build relationships with vendors and create cost-efficient contracts.

Qualifications, Skills, Education and Experience requirements:

  1. At least 5 years previous experience as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  2. Expertise in analyzing, implementing, and evaluating IT systems and their specifications.
  3. A Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field. A Master’s degree (MSc/MA) is a plus.

Technical Knowledge:

  1. A sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, and infrastructure.
  2. Prior experience with ERP data base management and report writing or coding.
  3. Organizational and Leadership Skills:
  4. Excellent organizational abilities to manage complex projects.
  5. Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide your team effectively.
  6. Outstanding communication abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders.
