Job Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Palm Springs, CA (Hybrid On-site)
Job Type: Direct Hire
- The position is primarily responsible for managing, automating and optimizing the care and support of servers, core application infrastructure, workstations and/or mobile devices with a major healthcare system. This position will work in data center support.

- Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Licensure/Certification
- Required: Security+, or must complete Security+ (or comparable course) within one year of hire
- Preferred: MCITP, MCTS, A+, Network+
- Epic technical certifications required for some positions
- Experience
- Required: 3+ years as a System Administrator in an Enterprise environment, or equivalent environment and role
- Preferred: Experience supporting a healthcare enterprise environment or healthcare data center

- Essential Responsibilities
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Provides support for all servers, workstations, mobile devices and other IT infrastructure.
- Communicates regularly with internal applications and operational staff, as appropriate, in order to ensure the system integrity, security and availability
- Checks ticket management and project work queues daily. Updates work orders, trouble tickets and project tasks on a weekly basis until tasks are complete.
- Automates as many IT processes as possible to reduce delivery time of IT services.(pc refresh, server provisioning, VM builds, server de-provisioning, etc.)
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations and their effectiveness. Suggests plans for improvement or automation when appropriate.
- Develops comprehensive test plans to validate scripts, pushes and other changes.
- Supports the IT System Analysts during and post implementation of all IT systems.
- Uses extensive experience to quickly evaluate and resolve complex technical issues while following industry standards and best practices.
- Participates on committees and in meetings where issues involving security and systems are discussed.
- Effectively communicates with IS staff members, vendors and users, and facilitates communication between these groups to identify system needs, modifications, and/or issues. Works with these groups to reach resolution of issues, define necessary modifications and develop solutions.
- Demonstrates excellent time and project management skills as well as organizational and personal skills to work with a variety of people.
- Advises Director or Manager of any issues that could relate to poor customer satisfaction, breaches in security and/or operational risks.
- Works as team member and independently with minimal supervision.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Has a friendly and proactive attitude to helping others in the IT and other departments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
