Position Title: Infrastructure IT Project Manager
Position Type: Contract
Duration: 6+ – months (with opportunity to extend or convert)
Location: Miramar, FL (4 days onsite)
Travel Requirements: 50% of the time will be international travel.
Work Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holders only.
Referral Fee: $770 +/- based on hours worked per month.
Position Overview:
The Infrastructure IT Project Manager will be providing support for a large-scale team that is responsible for Project Management of IT operational fleet projects (shipboard) from inception though completion. This individual will support Project Managers and help manage the completion of the punch-list as part of the post projects initiatives.
This individual will be required to coordinate cross-team efforts, manage business, and IT expectations and ensure all open items from a completed project have been closed. In addition, they will provide onsite support managing smaller aspects of a large-scale project. They will also be introduced to budget validation, justification, approval, and budget reconciliation.
This role will require communication with senior management during discussions and formal presentation format. The ability to define and drive project punch-list schedules, manage vendors, and align the project goals with IT strategic technology and process goals is a critical part of this job.
Required Skills:
- Strong time management skills.
- IT Infrastructure experience
- Someone who is detail oriented and disciplined.
- An understanding of project management methodology.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and/or Microsoft Project or similar tracking tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence.
- Very good communication skills including but not limited to:
- Business presentations
- Issue resolution
- Communicating to large teams
- Asking questions
- Human Resource skills including but not limited to:
- Team building
- Performance evaluations
- Coaching
- Problem solving
- Ability to travel internationally (up to 50% of the time)
Bonus Skills:
- Shipboard/ cruise line experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
