Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Delray Beach, FL (Onsite 5 days/week)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Referral Bonus: $2,000 +/-

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client’s dynamic finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), running audit reports and prior experience in public accounting. Familiarity with NetSuite is considered a valuable asset.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements.
• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Conduct regular financial reviews to identify and address discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with new accounting standards.
• Evaluate and enhance accounting systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting principles to complex transactions.
• Previous experience in public accounting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using accounting software, with NetSuite experience considered advantageous.
• Strong experience with excel and data reconciliation 
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
