Job Title: Senior Enterprise Cloud Engineer
Location: Remote (CST)

Job Summary:
The Senior Enterprise Cloud Engineer is responsible for providing in-depth technical review, engineering, administration, analysis, trending, and reporting of all cloud services (focused on GCP and AWS) including troubleshooting, coordination, user assistance, application support, and guidance. Advocates for Cloud adoption and is involved in the design, deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of the organization’s Cloud environment. Recommends, develops, enforces, and follows standards, policies, and procedures for maintaining the security and integrity of solutions. Aids in setting and ensuring the overall architecture standards for cloud deployments, operations, and implementation of best practice cloud operations. Coaches’ development of other employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement infrastructure delivery strategies, standards, processes, technologies, and tools in the technical visions.
- Understand use cases for Cloud services and technologies providing recommendations for the business to meet business requirements
- Contribute to the design and implementation of secure cloud solutions in support of rapid & secure development principles.
- Develop automation and self-service jobs for the app dev teams.
- Follow software development best practices when developing “infrastructure as code” modules and applications.
- Cloud Governance (focused on GCP/AWS).
- Build and support infrastructure to support new applications and microservices as we shift workload to the cloud and develop new cloud-native applications.
- Evaluate cloud application requirements and make architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning applications.
- Evaluate cloud application requirements and make architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning applications in collaboration with other development teams.
- Develop tools to enable other engineers such as CI/CD pipelines, container schedulers, and custom applications.
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain relevancy with commercial and open source DevSecOps solutions, processes, and architectures.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.
Key Requirements:
- Knowledge of Cloud Governance (focused on GCP/AWS) including:
- Demonstrated use of best practices for establishing Projects, Folders, Policies, Budgets in GCP
- Demonstrated use of best practices for establishing Organizations, Control Towner, Budgets in AWS
- Experience with PowerShell for creating automated and repeatable solutions.
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge in of all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) utilizing GitHub, including but not limited to pull requests, branching, CI/CD, code reviews, etc.
- Strong understanding of knowledge of software development best practices
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Code modules and applications
- Strong capabilities and past experience collaborating with development teams
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team-based environment utilizing such things (but not limited to) peer coding, design review sessions, etc.
