Job Title: Data Architect
Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (On-Site)
Job Type: Contract (Through 6/30/25 with high likelihood of extension)
Job Responsibilities:
The Data Architect will serve as the principal line of communication for the project team. The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Responsible for enterprise-wide data design, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors
- Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data mart
- Focus on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design
- Define data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects
- Responsible for business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design
- Database Management Systems optimization, recovery strategy and load strategy design and implementation
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust SOA to ensure seamless data synchronization across distributed systems within a government environment
- Develop comprehensive SOA solutions with a specific focus on integrating Azure Message Queues, ensuring reliable and secure data flow across multiple platforms
- Leverage Azure technologies, including Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Azure Logic Applications to design scalable, high-performance message queuing systems that support the data warehouse infrastructure
- Actively participate in coding, utilizing languages such as C Sharp (C#), Python, or Java to build and deploy custom solutions that meet project requirements and comply with government standards
- Optimize Azure Message Queues and related services to handle high-throughput, low-latency messaging workloads, ensuring system reliability and efficiency
- Ensure that all developed solutions adhere to stringent government security protocols and compliance requirements, incorporating best practices for data protection and secure communication
- Create and manage workflows for data synchronization, ensuring consistent data availability across all systems.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in an Azure Environment
- 7+ years of experience coding in C#, Python or Java, part of which was on Azure
- Multiple Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Projects WITHIN Azure
