Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Developer II to contribute to ongoing applications and software development projects. The selected candidate will play a critical role in designing, coding, and testing complex software programs in collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders, including developers, UX designers, and business and systems analysts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Software Development and Management
- Design, implement, and manage software programs in line with agency standards and project specifications.
- Conduct quality assurance activities, including testing and evaluating new programs to ensure optimal performance.
Coding and Program Modification
- Code and modify complex programs, subroutines, stored procedures, and scripts using Angular, C#, ASP.NET, and Oracle Database.
- Adhere to software development standards and utilize current methodologies to ensure application maintainability and best practices.
Testing and Debugging
- Conduct comprehensive testing processes, including test data generation, writing test scripts, and debugging to address any identified issues.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and business requirements.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program objectives and customer requirements.
- Engage in discussions regarding requirements to create accurate program specifications and deliver high-quality software.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in computer programming, analysis, and development of complex business processes and system solutions.
- 7+ years of proficiency in coding, testing, and debugging for development and issue resolution.
- 7+ years of ability to logically process information, design programs, and prepare detailed program specifications.
- 7+ years of advanced oral and written communication skills.
- 7+ years of strong interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and motivating colleagues.
- 7+ years of knowledge of IT industry trends and their application to organizational goals.
- 7+ years of familiarity with architectural concepts and tools related to infrastructure, applications, and data integrity.
- 7+ years of understanding and applying Agile or Scrum methodologies for solution delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of familiarity with the organization’s information architecture and information management methodologies.
- 2+ years of knowledge of global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure.
