Event Expense Specialist (Financial Analyst)
Location: Lowell, MA (3 days onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Summary:
The Event Expense Specialist will manage the accurate execution, tracking, and recording of payments and expenses for Field Marketing programs. This role also involves filing documents, reconciling statements, and generating monthly spend trend reports. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately track and record all field event expenses, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Process invoices and payments in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate accurate and efficient payment processing.
- Maintain up-to-date expense records, including receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile expenses across multiple cost centers.
- Prepare and submit expense reports using Concur.
- Monitor budgeting activities and provide regular updates on expense status to management.
- Generate detailed reports on expenses and budgets.
- Investigate and resolve billing and invoicing discrepancies.
- Provide administrative support to the Field Services team as needed.
Essential Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in expense management or a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for tracking and analyzing expenses.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Experience with accounting tasks such as reviewing general ledger entries and conducting research on processed entries.
