Job Title: Functional Test Coordinator/Tester (Utility Industry Focus)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Functional Test Coordinator/Tester with experience in SAP and Customer Information Systems (CIS) to oversee and execute testing for utility-focused projects. The role involves managing test strategies, writing test cases, and coordinating system integration and user acceptance testing (SIT and UAT). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the utility sector, including customer billing processes, and experience with bill comparison functions between legacy and new systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document comprehensive test cases and strategies based on functional requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate the execution of System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure test plans align with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
- Manage and execute bill comparison functions, ensuring line-by-line accuracy between old and new systems.
- Identify and report defects, working closely with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and end-users, to validate use cases and expected outcomes.
- Track testing progress, document results, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to testing best practices and maintain testing documentation for audit purposes.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in software testing, including functional testing and test coordination.
- Proficiency in SAP and Customer Information Systems (CIS), with a focus on billing and customer management.
- Hands-on experience in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Background in the utility industry, including billing processes and customer account management.
- Experience in test case writing and strategy development.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly for bill comparison functions.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Customer One or other utility-specific CIS platforms.
- Knowledge of testing tools and defect-tracking systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
