Job Title:  Architect/Sr Architect
Location:  San Jose, CA
Job-Type:  Direct Hire
Base Salary: $300-400K + RSU and Bonus (DOE)
Referral Fee: $5,000

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Architect to drive the design and implementation of new product features for an advanced solution for security and traffic management across on-premises and multi-cloud environments. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, shape the direction of our product, and have a meaningful impact on how our customers manage high-performance and secure applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to multiple project teams.
  • Recommend and maintain best practices for technical design, processes, and technologies.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies, integrating them into a strategic product roadmap.
  • Research and incorporate industry advancements into the company’s product platforms.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for technology in both internal and external forums.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and represent the organization externally.
  • Mentor and collaborate with team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Advocate for high standards of quality in product development and delivery.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in microservices architecture and deployment.
  • In-depth understanding of Kubernetes-based architectures.
  • Strong coding experience in languages such as Golang, React JS, Python, and Bash.
  • Recognized internally and externally as a technical expert, industry leader, or product specialist.
  • Ability to bring the voice of the customer into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Extensive experience with network and web technologies, particularly in the management plane.
  • Proven track record of leading complex product development initiatives from concept to release.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing engineers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience working in Agile environments and with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, influence decisions, and inspire teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 9 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 6 years of experience; or equivalent practical experience.
