Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Remote (EST)
Contract Duration: 6 months (high possibility to extend)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Health Information Exchange (HIE) team within the client company. The ideal candidate will have a strong ownership mentality, a background in healthcare technology and operations, and the ability to manage complex projects involving data ingestion, billing processes, and multiple business units. This is a highly immersive role that requires proactive engagement with business, IT, and operational teams to drive initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects related to data ingestion, storage, processing, and billing workflows within the Health Information Exchange (HIE) team.
• Assess current project status, develop a game plan, and establish clear timelines, scope, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with business partners, clinical leadership, call center operations, and the billing team to gather requirements and drive project execution.
• Work closely with technical teams and engineering to oversee interface coding and system integrations.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication, risk mitigation, and proactive issue resolution.
• Operate within a waterfall/agile hybrid environment, adapting best practices as needed.
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and present roadmaps to leadership.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong problem solver with a proactive and immersive approach to project management.
• Experience in healthcare technology, medical billing, or clinical data management.
• Ability to engage multiple departments and communicate effectively with both business and IT teams.
• Someone who takes full ownership of projects and drives them to completion.
   

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management
• Experience with data exchange, medical billing, or healthcare operations.
• Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to define project roadmaps independently.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, but flexible in applying best practices without enforcing strict frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

• HL7 experience
• Knowledge of medical billing
