Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to support the Grid Data Services Platform. The ideal candidate will have expert-level proficiency in Power BI and a strong background in AWS services, including AWS S3, Redshift, and Lambda. This role requires expertise in data visualization, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and ETL processes, along with the ability to integrate Power BI with cloud data sources and create interactive dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
- Connect Power BI to cloud data sources, ensuring smooth data integration and workflow optimization.
- Implement data modeling techniques, including defining relationships, hierarchies, and calculated columns.
- Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create complex calculations, measures, and aggregations.
- Apply ETL processes using Power Query to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
- Optimize query performance, data load speed, and visualization rendering for Power BI solutions.
- Ensure data security through role-based access, row-level security, and governance policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient BI solutions.
- Maintain version control using Git and follow Agile methodologies for iterative BI solution development.
- Stay updated with Power BI best practices, advanced analytics, and industry trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda).
- 3+ years of experience with Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Mobile).
- 3+ years of experience with ETL processes, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to handle complex data challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within Agile environments.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and present insights effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating advanced analytics and machine learning models in Power BI.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) for managing Power BI projects.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies for BI development.
