Role:  IT Application Engineer.
Location: Cincinnati.
Duration: Initial Term: One Year.            
Start Date: March 31^st, 2025.
Eligibility: U.S. Citizen.
Experience: 5 Years.

An IT Application Engineer position is available to work onsite in Cincinnati, OH full time. You will be part of a Manufacturing Execution Software project team. To be considered for this role, you must have an associate degree, or an equivalent competency level, be a US citizen, and must possess an US government clearance or be willing to obtain one. Additionally, you must hold a current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent or be willing to obtain one.

Ideal candidates will have a competency level equivalent to an associate degree plus a minimum of four (4) years’ work experience supporting, designing, tuning, and implementing Kubernetes, Docker, VMware Tanzu, AWS, EKS, or related products. Excellent candidates will have worked directly on iBaseT’s Solumina software used in a production environment including Oracle databases.

Required Qualifications:
* An associate degree, or a equivalent competency level
* Four (5) years’ work experience supporting, designing, tuning, and implementing Kubernetes, Docker, Vmware Tanzu, or related products
* Active S/SSBI clearance or be willing to obtain one
* Current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent or be willing to obtain one
* 2+ years of experience using Java on a Linux platform
* Experience with integration methodologies and design patterns such as APIs and event-driven frameworks
* Experience or working knowledge of deploying solutions to Cloud (AWS) including EKS and ECS
* Experience with scripting technologies including Ansible
* Experience with Service Now or other similar incident and problem management tools
* Strong documentation skills and creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
* Attention to detail
* Good interpersonal skills and clear communication

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Excellent candidates will have worked directly on iBaseT’s Solumina software used in a production environment
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and 9
* Docker or ContainerD
* SQL Databases (Oracle preferred)
* Version Control Systems (Github)
* Docker and Kubernetes Monitoring Configuration
* Grafana Configuration
* ActiveMQ (Apache Application) – integration with other tools
