Job Responsibilities:
The IT Communication Specialist is responsible for bridging the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. This role is responsible for crafting clear, concise, and engaging communications that support IT initiatives, enhance user understanding, and promote technology adoption across the organization.

  • Internal Communication:
    • Develop and distribute IT-related announcements, newsletters, and updates.
    • Translate complex technical information into user-friendly content for various audiences.
    • Coordinate communication plans for IT projects, system changes, and outages.
    • Design compelling presentations using various design software such as Canva and PowerPoint.
  • User Support & Engagement:
    • Create and maintain user guides, FAQs, and training materials.
    • Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure consistent messaging and timely updates.
    • Conduct user feedback surveys and analyze results to improve communication strategies.
  • Digital Content Management:
    • Prepare presentations, reports, and executive summaries for multiple projects
    • Manage IT content on internal platforms (e.g., intranet, knowledge bases).
    • Ensure content is up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with branding guidelines.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT communications, technical writing, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of IT concepts, systems, and terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams), and content management system
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse, collaborative environment with geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and ability to adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with change management processes and corporate communication.
  • Experience with Canva is a plus.
  • Graphic design or multimedia content creation skills are a plus.
