Product Lead – Workday HCM (Advisory & Delivery)
We are seeking an experienced Product Lead with strong Workday HCM expertise to support a large technology client’s ongoing HCM transformation initiatives. This role will partner closely with People Team stakeholders, Workday consultants, and cross-functional technical teams to provide strategic guidance, drive alignment, and support successful delivery across key HCM workstreams.
The ideal candidate brings deep functional understanding of Workday HCM services and processes, strong program leadership capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively across both strategic and detailed execution activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level advisory support on Workday HCM capabilities, business processes, and leading practices.
- Guide Workday configuration decisions and review solution approaches in partnership with technical/configuration resources.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional meetings, helping teams elevate from tactical details to strategic decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders across People Operations, Recruiting, IT, HCM, and Business Process Re-engineering teams.
- Support requirements validation, testing coordination, issue triage, and process improvement activities related to Workday implementations and enhancements.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and process impacts across HR functions and proactively drive resolution.
- Lead assigned workstreams and contribute to overall program planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Strong functional knowledge of Workday HCM (7+ years of experience), including security and business process implications (configuration oversight experience preferred; hands-on configuration not required).
- Proven ability to provide guidance and quality oversight to Workday configuration teams and consultants.
- Excellent program/project management skills with strong organization, communication, and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to balance detailed execution with strategic program leadership.
- Self-starter who can operate independently in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
- Comfortable supporting global teams, including participation in early morning meetings aligned to UK time zones.
