Job Description: Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Location: Miami, FL (On?site 4 days/week; Fridays WFH optional)
Department: Strategic Sourcing
Reports To: Head of Sourcing
Duration: 6 month contract
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support a lean, high?impact sourcing team during a period of increased workload. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of sourcing experience—or a strong early?career professional with at least 3 years directly in sourcing—who is ready to take ownership of spend analysis, vendor negotiations, and contract support.
This is not a logistics, procurement operations, or category management role. The focus is pure sourcing: market research, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct spend analysis to identify cost?saving opportunities and sourcing strategies.
- Lead vendor negotiations, including pricing, terms, and service-level expectations.
- Support contract negotiation and renewal processes.
- Perform market research to identify new suppliers, benchmark pricing, and assess risk.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and sourcing requirements.
- Maintain supplier performance data and support ongoing vendor management.
- Collaborate with leader on U.S.-focused sourcing initiatives (global experience not required).
Must?Have Qualifications
- Based in Doral, FL and able to commute 4 days per week (Friday WFH option).
- 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, with hands-on responsibility for:
- Spend analysis
- Vendor negotiation
- Price negotiation
- Market research
- Contract negotiation
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience in any industry where sourcing is rigorous—SW/HW, telecom, services, food & beverage, etc.
- Ability to work independently in a fast?moving environment.
Nice?to?Have Qualifications
- Experience sourcing in IT categories (not required).
- Exposure to multi?category sourcing environments.
- Experience in mid?sized or high?growth organizations.
