Job Title: Application Specialist

Location: West Palm Beach, Florida (Twice a week)

Job-Type: Contract to hire

Employment Eligibility: Gravity cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer directly (we are not open to contract or “corp to corp” agreements).

Summary
The Application Specialist will focus on the agency’s portfolio of enterprise applications used by agency personnel. You will work closely with vendors and users to understand the existing challenges/issues and work to resolve them. You will also be working with vendors and internal personnel to test future upgrades and implement those upgrades.
Responsibilities

  • Support of enterprise applications used throughout the agency.
  • Manage testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments.
  • Work with end users resolving issues and change requests within related systems.
  • Review and maintain service desk tickets related to supported applications.
  • Work closely with team members and vendor support on all issues.
  • Responsible for program management activities such as issue resolutions and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Work together with the security team ensuring business systems meet security standards, specifications, and policies.
  • Ensure and maintain enforcement of administrative access, security policies and procedures.
  • Responds to on-call outages based as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive data.
  • Detail oriented.
