Overview: 

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and dedicated product leader to join our client’s Product team. This role will head up the risk and data product management team and will be responsible for building the product strategy and execution plan for the full suite of risk products. They will closely partner with the engineering leaders to own the delivery of high-quality products on time and resolve customer issues. The person must have an entrepreneurial mind-set, strong people leadership skills and experience working with risk product in payments/banking industry. Our customer needs are evolving and so are our products. We need a strong product leader who can build and grow a product team to develop innovative products quickly while keeping long term growth in mind. This role will not only drive the product development of  risk and data products but also build and run a model team of transformation for the larger organization.

Job Responsibilities: 
 

  • Partner with Risk & Compliance and Chief Product and Tech officer to build the product strategy and annual execution plan for Risk and Data products
  • Build and lead a team of product managers responsible for the development full suite risk and data products – Customer onboarding, Transaction fraud monitoring (Pre/during), Chargebacks and Disputes
  • Collaborate with customers and product commercialization teams to craft an internal/external product roadmap, set product priorities and communicate with stakeholders
  • Guide and mentor the team to create and manage the product backlog of user stories for assigned product
  • Build a culture of deep partnership between product and engineering to deliver high quality products on time – the outcome should be “It Just Works”
  • Highly motivated and open minded with an attitude of solving tough product and market problems  

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of software development and/or product management with at least 3 years of experience in people management
  • Must have experience in building risk products in payments and /or banking domain
  • Deep understanding of different facets of risk management – customer onboarding (KYC/KYB), Transaction fraud monitoring for payment origination and Chargeback and Disputes
  • Strong experience in building best-in-class products enabling delightful end-user experience while protecting/growing revenue
  • Strong people leader who can keep the team motivated and inspired about the organizational vision and moving in the right direction
  • Able to work with the executive team to understand business priorities and drive the team to execute those priorities in a close partnership with product leaders
