Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Framingham, MA
Type: Contract
A successful candidate for this role will have strong technical skills in addition to experience architecting, designing, and developing products from concept to launch.
Examples of specific tasks that would be undertaken:
Design:
- Schematic design, simulation, PCB layout guidance
- Measurement of performance of products
- Evaluation of formal validation test results, resolution of issues
- Supplier communications for development of designs solutions
- Exploration of new technologies and product concepts
Leadership:
- Attending meetings of electrical engineers on your project
- Ensuring rigorous validation of electrical designs including leading high-level electrical design reviews
- Assessing, mitigating, and communicating risks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Track record of design of complex electronics subsystems at the component/PCB level
- Plus: Experience with the design of products for regulatory compliance (EMI, UL, FCC or CSA etc)
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Detail oriented and excellent communication skills
Skills and experience that would be beneficial:
- Knowledge of fundamental technology relevant to consumer electronic products (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, digital audio, USB)
- Experience with design and development of consumer electronic products
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and/or joint development manufacturers
- Experience working closely with embedded SW engineers
- Experience using Electronics CAD (Cadence)
