Job Title: Electrical Hardware Design Manager
Job Type: Direct Hire
Location: Brighton, MI
Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card holder preferred, may sponsor visa candidates.

Overview:
Gravity is currently hiring an Electrical Hardware Design Manager for our client in Brighton, MI. If you meet these requirements, and believe you have a passion for making a real difference in an industry, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
•            Evolve and manage ECU hardware design process and functional expertise including:
•            Design of embedded control systems for brake, suspension, and chassis products
•            Create/maintain Electrical hardware designs for the Electronic Control Unit (ECU)
•            Perform design analysis and testing to ensure design meets requirements
•            Interface with component suppliers to insure selected components meet specified design
•            Ensure ECU design is compatible with manufacturing processes
•            Support functional safety work products associated with ISO 26262 part 5
•            Manage and resolve electrical design issues
•            Maintain awareness and competence related to global standards and expectations
•            Balancing the needs of our customer base and the needs of the business
•            Align resources to support product development per the needs of the business
•            Work collaboratively across Brakes and Suspension to align ECU hardware design initiatives (Brighton/China/Paris/Dayton)
•            Work collaboratively across staff engineering disciplines to align ECU development initiatives and activities

Required Skills & Qualifications:
•            Bachelor and/or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
•            7+ years of experience in Automotive ECU hardware design
•            Experience in embedded control system design
•            Technical problem solving skills with attention to detail
•            Understanding of hardware design considerations involved in developing embedded systems
•            Good and/or demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills including:
•            Ability to lead, develop, grow and manage people
•            Ability to work within a diverse global team
•            Ability to develop, articulate, adjust and productively defend opinions and direction

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
•            Exposure and/or experience with ISO26262
•            Exposure and/or experience with Automotive Cyber Security standards
•            Exposure and/or experience with design for EMC
•            Exposure and/or experience with ECU manufacturing
•            Exposure and/or experience with ECU validation
