Front End Web Developer that serves as a member of a multi-disciplinary product team which focuses on one part of the customer experience- envisioning, designing, developing, and delivering customer facing commerce and engagement experiences for our family of brands
Collaborate on large, complex projects that have a direct business impact
Use your skills writing and testing valid, web standards-based HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a world class experience for our customers

Your skills should include:

Experience with Web Standards, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Background in front end web development with both technical and visual expertise
Experience with following standards and technologies: DOM, JSON, AJAX, HTML5 Video, Git
Experience with React and front end frameworks
Knowledge of and discipline in the application of Web development best practices
Experience with agile methodologies and supporting practices, tools, and technology
Knowledge of automated testing, continuous integration & deployment, and supporting tools and technology
Web presentation-layer (“UI”) specialist developer who bridges the creative and technical aspects of website creation and delivery
Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 AA is a plus

Responsibilities

Develop re-usable, maintainable, accessible cross-platform HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front end web application components while adhering to web and team standards
Working in a Continuous Integration paradigm, develops with testing in mind; authors unit tests to provide sufficient testing coverage for each developed component
Write unit tests to provide sufficient testing coverage for each developed component
Seek opportunities to improve front end performance of the web application
Work with creative and business partners to understand, build and adjust web application functionality and visual presentation to support business goals
Work with server-side, infrastructure and 3rd party technology partners to build, integrate and deploy web application functionality and visual presentation to support business goals
Work with project technical lead and/or front end architect to create technical designs and implementation plans
Work with front end web development leads and architects to develop an in-depth knowledge of the front end technology stack
Be coachable in the areas of tech design, implementation and domain expertise
Ensure accuracy and attention to detail throughout the development process
Remain curious and current with new developments in the front end web development industry

2-5 years of practical front end web development experience
Experience in a role where developers are organized into product teams and using Agile methodologies
Experience working for retail brands or other environments with very high standards for presentation layer is a plus
E-commerce experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
