Job Title: Technical Agile Leader
Location: Hybrid Onsite – West Palm Beach, FL
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Work Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holders only

The Agile Leader (Technical) will be responsible for developing and training application development teams across solutions on DevSecOps & Software Development best practices. This role works closely with, and will have full exposure to all areas and levels of IT. The Agile Leader performs a variety of duties, without limitation, to identify the most impactful way to drive improvements in agile maturity while demonstrating quantifiable progress towards achieving higher performing teams and improved business outcomes.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Application Development teams to understand their maturity level within the DevSecOps framework
  • Establish reporting tools that enable teams and leadership clear understanding of Product maturity and quality level
  • Expected to work with other Coaches (Agile & Automation) to drive overall coaching program
  • Assertive about adherence to SecDevOps processes and enthusiastic about CI/CD practices and their benefits.
  • Drive continuous collaboration and communication through various opportunities (COP’s, Leadership Meetings, Team level meetings, Program Increment Planning, etc.)
  • Work with Teams to establish best practices for the DevSecOps framework
  • Trains and coaches leaders, teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindset
  • Promotes and encourages collaboration and transparency and builds trusting relationships between business, delivery, and other entities within the organization
  • Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings across several different onsite and distributed delivery teams
  • Prepares program and release backlogs, as well as team and program objectives
  • Tracks, promotes, and publishes completed program features and program and team objectives
  • Manages risk and dependencies, communicates and escalates impediments to facilitate transparency, and reduces bottlenecks
  • Embraces a continuous improvement mindset, and drives the use of agile engineering best practices and innovation
  • Reports on standardized program-level metrics, and understands, tracks, and operates within the program budget
  • Plays an instrumental role in the organization’s Agile transformation, acts as a change agent, and shows strong leadership skills with a positive and collaborative attitude
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

    • High School Grad / GED
    • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
    • Experience: 7+ years
    • Experience implementing & coaching on Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
    • Experience with implementing & coaching on Agile Delivery methodologies preferred
    • Strong experience on Continuous Integration/ Continuous Testing/ Continuous Delivery processes
    • Possessing prior experience coaching teams in DevOps/ SecDevOps adoption
    • Experience using Confluence, JIRA, Gliffy, Github, Bitbucket, SonarQube, Maven/Gradle, Junit, Selenium, Java, Javascript, Java Best Practices, Maven, Jenkins, HP UFT, SQL, Cucumber, Gherkin, TDD
    • Possess great communication and interpersonal skills, teaching abilities, and a capacity to inspire and motivate.
    • Experience with Business Intelligence solutions (Qlik, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Visio and PowerPoint

 

Preferred Qualifications

    • Supervisor/Management Experience: 5+ years
    • DevOps Certifications (Docker Certified Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent)
    • Agile certified (e.g. SPC, CSM, PSM)
    • Experience coaching at small to medium organizations a must, large organizations is a plus
    • Programming experience and knowledge on TDD/BDD/ATDD
    • Knowledge on integrating security and performance testing into DevOps pipeline
