Job Purpose
We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer III to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable cloud solutions—primarily on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role is key in driving cloud strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mentoring teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

AWS Cloud Architecture & Leadership:
Design, deploy, and manage resilient AWS environments (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, API Gateway). Lead project teams and mentor engineers to ensure secure, compliant deployments. -
Strategy & Innovation:
Partner with enterprise architects to align cloud strategies with business objectives. Champion cloud-native solutions and evaluate emerging technologies for performance and cost efficiency. -
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Automate AWS resource provisioning using Terraform and CloudFormation. Drive consistent, repeatable infrastructure deployment. -
Security & Compliance Oversight:
Enforce best practices for IAM, Zero Trust, and least privilege access. Ensure compliance with frameworks like SOX, NIST, and ISO 27001. -
Monitoring & Optimization:
Monitor infrastructure using tools like LogicMonitor. Continuously tune systems for high performance, cost optimization, and reliability. -
Cloud Migrations & Hybrid Networking:
Lead migrations from physical, virtual, and other cloud platforms. Support hybrid connectivity via AWS Direct Connect, Cloud WAN, and Palo Alto Networks firewalls. -
PaaS Adoption & Advocacy:
Promote use of AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and other managed services to streamline development and reduce operational overhead.
Required Qualifications

7+ years in cloud computing, with 1+ year in a leadership or senior-level role.

Deep expertise in AWS architecture, services, and migration strategies.

Working knowledge of Azure (bonus: Azure Functions, App Service).

Hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps practices.

Proven ability to lead secure and compliant cloud implementations.

Familiar with industry security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).

Strong collaboration and communication skills under pressure.
Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.

AWS certifications strongly preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).

Azure certifications a plus.
