Job Title: Junior Data Engineer
Location: Remote (EST/CST Hours)
Work Authorization: USC/GC Holder
Job Type: Full-Time
Employment Eligibility: Gravity cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer directly (we are not open to contract or “corp to corp” agreements).
Job Summary:
This Medical Economics Jr. Data Engineer will support the Medical Economics team to help shape our client’s Data Warehouse and Data Strategy for current and future implementations. The Jr. Data Engineer will work in close collaboration with Medical Economics to translate business tasks into IT solutions.
The Jr. Data Engineer will work on maintaining and developing the right solution for both existing and new requirements by enhancing / converting existing systems or creating newer solutions.
Duties:
- Follow best SDLC practices for developing IT solutions in HealthCare Domain
- Work with MS SQL Server Platform and EHR Platforms
- Analyze and integrate healthcare payer data and Clinical EHR data.
- Document in Design and Development workstreams.
- Develop and maintain Data Warehouse functionalities.
- Improve current design
- Explore new technology
- Work collaboratively with our Medical Economics team, Infrastructure team and Integrated Clinical Team to define, create, document, and implement ad-hoc reports/analytics that support the clinical care model and strategy.
- Organize, clarify, and translate business processes into reporting requirements from Medical Economics team.
- Troubleshoot and align the reporting needs of end users to available data sets.
- Maintain the security and privacy of all information that is owned by the company or maintained on behalf of the company’s patients, employees, and business partners.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, computer science/data science/data analytics, statistics, mathematics, health sciences, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
- Demonstrated understanding of good SDLC practices
- Academic or equivalent exposure to relational databases (SQL server), querying, data warehouses, and decision support tools required.
- Professional exposure to SQL or Python development
