Job Title: iOS Developer
Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
Compensation: $50-60/hour
Location: Taylorsville, UT | Remote option available
Overview:
A technology team is seeking a seasoned iOS Developer to support a food safety inspection platform. This iOS application enables field agents to perform and report inspections at food manufacturing, retail, and dairy facilities. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the existing application while collaborating with inspection and lab teams to support end-to-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Application Maintenance & Support
Maintain and optimize the existing iOS application to ensure functionality and alignment with current iOS standards. -
Feature Enhancements
Work with end users to identify improvements and build out new features that enhance usability and efficiency. -
Collaboration Across Teams
Partner with field and lab staff to gather requirements and ensure workflows are fully supported in the app. -
Testing & QA
Execute thorough testing protocols to deliver a reliable and high-performing application. -
Documentation
Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for codebase, app functionality, and end-user support. -
User Enablement
Provide training and support to field users on how to best utilize the application in their day-to-day inspections.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

5+ years of iOS development experience

Proficient in Swift and Objective-C

Strong grasp of iOS frameworks, design patterns, and mobile app architecture

Experience with Xcode and Interface Builder

Comfortable working with REST APIs and local data storage/sync

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Comfortable in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
Preferred Experience:

Background working with regulatory or compliance-driven systems

Familiarity with food safety or public health domains
