Job Title: Manager, Radiology & Cardiology Imaging Systems
Location: Remote (Monthly travel to Atlanta, GA – approximately 1 week/month)
Type: Contract-to-Hire (6-Month Contract)

Time Zone: Candidates must reside in Central or Eastern Time Zone USA
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Radiology & Cardiology Imaging Systems to lead a dynamic team supporting diagnostic imaging systems within a large and complex healthcare environment. This leadership role will oversee PACS infrastructure and cardiovascular imaging systems, ensuring seamless integration with clinical operations and driving strategic alignment with radiology and cardiology departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of PACS administrators, engineers, and imaging professionals.
- Oversee daily operations, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Resolve escalations, drive team performance, and support ongoing skill development.
- Align imaging IT initiatives with clinical and enterprise goals by partnering with radiology and cardiology leadership.
- Represent imaging IT in governance discussions and strategic planning forums.
- Translate clinical feedback into actionable projects and system improvements.
- Oversee Sectra PACS and cardiovascular imaging tools, ensuring optimal performance and diagnostic workflow efficiency.
- Lead system enhancements, workflow optimization, and support issue resolution across imaging service lines.
- Manage on-premise PACS storage architecture, DR protocols, and ensure system performance benchmarks are met.
- Oversee integrations with Epic (preferred) and other third-party tools such as Aidoc, Visage 7, and Dicom Systems.
- Collaborate with enterprise infrastructure and network teams to maintain system reliability and uptime.
- Maintain documentation of architecture, policies, and workflows.
- Ensure regulatory compliance related to imaging standards and retention policies.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging imaging technologies to enhance clinical outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or IT-related field
- 5+ years managing PACS and cardiovascular imaging systems in a healthcare setting.
- Must have operational expertise in Sectra PACS and cardiovascular imaging workflows.
- 3+ years of technical team leadership experience in imaging IT. Proven ability to lead team of FTEs in high-paced, clinically integrated environments.
- 3+ years integrating third-party imaging tools into PACS ecosystems. Experience with platforms like Aidoc, Visage 7, InteleViewer, or Dicom Systems.
- 3+ years supporting on-prem infrastructure and EHR integrations. (Strong preference for experience with Epic)
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to communicate across technical and clinical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Passion for improving healthcare through innovative imaging technology solutions.
- Comfortable working in a highly collaborative and mission-driven environment.
- Clinical background such as radiologic technologist or similar role is preferred
