Job Title: Epic Hospital Billing Consultant
Location: Sarasota, FL (Remote)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epic Hospital Billing Consultant with a strong background in hospital billing operations and systems. The ideal candidate will be certified in Hospital Billing and able to provide both functional and technical expertise across billing workflows. This role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, support both operations and IT teams, and mentor staff to ensure long-term knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in hospital billing processes and workflows, with certification in Hospital Billing required.
- Utilize Epic tools such as Orion and Nova, along with Excel, to manage data imports, exports, and analysis.
- Support billing operations across functional areas including:
- Consecutive accounts
- Denials management
- Scanning and late charges
- Client billing
- Insurance follow-up
Qualifications
- Certification in Epic Hospital Billing (required).
- Strong experience with hospital billing workflows and processes.
- Proficiency in Excel and Epic tools such as Orion and Nova.
- Experience with data imports, exports, and analysis.
- Knowledge of billing functions such as denials, client billing, late charges, and insurance follow-up.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with both operations and IT in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated experience mentoring and transferring knowledge to staff.
- Ability to travel onsite monthly and as needed (up to 25%).
