Job Title: Incident Commander
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Incident Commander with a proven track record of effectively leading major incidents from detection through resolution. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination during high-impact events, ensuring swift action, clear communication, and minimal business disruption.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Incident Response: Manage the full lifecycle of major incidents from detection to resolution.

Declare and Document Incidents: Own the declaration of incidents, open official Major Incident tickets, and ensure all actions are properly logged.

Coordinate Resources: Engage and direct resources across teams, assign roles (such as SecOps), and ensure the right subject matter experts are involved.

Maintain Process Compliance: Ensure all response processes are followed consistently.

Communicate Effectively: Provide timely updates to executives, customers, and vendors; maintain clear communication across disciplines to ensure alignment.

Maintain Control and Focus: Prioritize incoming information, determine critical issues needing direct attention, and stay focused on driving incidents toward resolution.

Lead Post-Incident Activities: Conduct post-incident reviews, document lessons learned, review after-action reports, and update timelines.
Qualifications:

Proven experience leading major incidents and cross-functional response teams.

Strong situational awareness and analytical thinking under pressure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver concise updates to technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated leadership, delegation, and decision-making abilities during high-stress situations.

Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Familiarity with incident management frameworks, escalation procedures, and ITIL best practices is preferred.

Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, or incident management training) are a plus.
