Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare IT to lead and manage large-scale, complex projects from initiation through implementation. This role is part of a high-performing PMO and will be responsible for delivering key IT initiatives that support our client’s mission-critical systems and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 7 years of IT Project Management experience, with significant experience in the healthcare industry, and excels at driving outcomes in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and scoping to execution and delivery.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high quality.

Define project objectives, develop detailed project plans, and track progress against key milestones.

Establish and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, sponsors, and technical teams.

Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to project teams and ensure alignment with project goals.

Lead change management efforts, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, timelines, risk logs, and budget tracking.

Utilize tools such as MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word to manage and report on project progress.

Collaborate closely with the PMO Manager and contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Required Qualifications:
-
7+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager in complex enterprise environments.

10+ years overall experience in Information Technology.

Proven track record managing healthcare IT projects — experience with EHRs, HIPAA compliance, payer/provider systems, or other healthcare technologies is required.

Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Exceptional skills in problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.

Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

PMP, PMI-ACP, or other relevant Project Management certifications.

Prior experience working within a PMO structure.

Knowledge of change management frameworks.
