Position Overview
Gravity is seeking a Revenue Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, maintenance, and review of the revenue cycle, from order management through cash collections, as well as the accounting systems used for transaction processing.
This role serves as the primary point of contact for Sales during the final stages of the opportunity close process when accounting information is required for order processing. The position also oversees month-end close activities, revenue recognition, deferred revenue analysis, AR aging/DSO, and reconciliations between CRM systems and accounting platforms.
Essential Functions:
Order Management & Processing
- Serve as the central processing point for all orders and transaction flow from CRM to accounting systems.
- Create, document, and continuously improve processes and workflows related to revenue and billing.
- Collaborate with Sales and IT/System Operations on order processing and reporting requirements.
- Ensure internal compliance with booking policies.
- Act as primary contact for all internal (Sales) and external (Customer) billing inquiries.
Revenue, Credit, and Collections
- Manage accounts receivable, credit, collections, and DSO reporting.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform revenue reconciliations and deferred revenue waterfall analyses.
- Prepare journal entries for monthly and quarterly closes, including revenue, bad debt, and deferred revenue.
- Implement and manage credit check policies.
- Conduct reserve analysis and calculations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting and Sales on special projects.
- Support annual audits, including preparing revenue testing packages for quarterly and annual audits.
- Assist with professional services revenue tracking and backlog reporting.
Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience supporting high-technology sales/order management processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong systems and process knowledge with the ability to understand, optimize, and automate workflows.
- Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills; enjoys working closely with Sales teams.
