Job Title: Controller
Location: Utah (onsite)
Job-Type: Contract
Salary Range: $45 – $65/hr. (DOE)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Controller to assist in all financial and accounting operations. This role requires deep knowledge of lease accounting standards, ERP systems, and financial compliance, with a focus on ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, excellent follow-through, and proven expertise in managing complex financial processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
- Support ERP system transition and optimize financial systems and tools.
- Manage ACH pools, bank inquiries, and returned customer credit card charges.
- Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights.
- Mentor accounting staff and foster continuous improvement.
- Additional duties as needed.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role in financial leasing and funding.
- ERP system experience required (implementation and navigation).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
