Overview
The Developer, Business Intelligence is focused on leading the development and delivery of advanced business intelligence solutions utilizing the Qlik SaaS platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic collaboration to design and implement scalable, high-impact BI applications. The Senior Developer will work closely with business stakeholders, BI analysts, and data engineers to gather requirements, develop innovative solutions, and drive data-informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a passion for leveraging Qlik SaaS to deliver actionable insights.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of BI Analytics and Development experience
- Strong expertise in data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, MS SQL).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or Qlik scripting) for BI development.
- Familiarity with public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based BI tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of data governance, security standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR) is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a full-time remote, office, or hybrid environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leverage 5+ years of experience in Qlik SaaS or Qlik Sense to develop and deploy advanced BI solutions, including dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and reports.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of BI projects, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Integrate and transform data from multiple sources into Qlik SaaS, ensuring accuracy, performance, and scalability.
- Apply visual analytics best practices to create intuitive, user-focused visualizations that drive business insights.
- Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, delivering solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Optimize Qlik SaaS applications for performance, leveraging cloud-native features and best practices.
- Implement and maintain systemic security measures and governance protocols within Qlik SaaS to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Mentor and train team members on latest development techniques and best practices, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Drive continuous improvement of BI tools, capabilities, and processes to enhance platform performance and user adoption.
- Contribute technical expertise to platform roadmap planning, aligning solutions with strategic business goals.
- Maintain expertise in emerging BI trends, Qlik SaaS updates, and related technologies (e.g., data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Qlik SaaS applications and data integrations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for application designs, configurations, and processes.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, delivering high-quality solutions within specified milestones and timelines.
- Support data governance initiatives by adhering to established standards for data quality, security, and compliance.
