Job Title: Cloud Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
The Cloud Engineer position will partner with key stakeholders to provide strategic guidance on the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based systems. Focus of the role will be to maintain and optimize current environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Ensure the continuous, secure, and reliable delivery of Azure compute, network, directory, database(s), and Fabric services
? Manage and maintain the cloud infrastructure supporting Power BI (Microsoft Fabric) and Data Factory
? Apply FinOps principles to optimize and forecast compute expenses by collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders
? Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment challenges
? Ensure efficient operation of data storage and processing systems in compliance with company security policies and best practice standards
? Partner with engineering and development teams to assess and implement optimal cloud solutions
? Improve and optimize existing cloud systems
? Ensure all cloud implementations adhere to industry standards and best practices, especially in cloud security
? Conduct regular reviews of current systems and provide recommendations for enhancements
? Interact with clients to deliver cloud support and advise on solutions tailored to their needs
? Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy and educate internal teams on the adoption and integration
? Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud-based applications, infrastructure, and services
? Design and maintain secure, organized, modular and scalable cloud systems to support enterprise-wide operations
? Collaborate closely with IT security to ensure data privacy and compliance in cloud environments
? Respond promptly and professionally to technical issues as they arise
? Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud
? Recommend and implement top cloud architecture solutions to align with the company’s strategic goals
? Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
? Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree or certification(s) in computer science, information technology, or a related field?
? 3+ years of experience in a related field ?
? 5+ years of experience in cloud computing
? Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory and Power BI)?
? Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, collaboration, and client management skills?
? Experience with CI/CD systems
? Experience with SysOps
? Understanding of basic network and security concepts
? Understanding of DNS, and domain record management
? Able to be flexible and adaptable to meet right deadlines, deliver results, and quickly pivot based on shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment?
? Able to use a variety of business or technical programs to complete tasks?
? High level of integrity, motivation, accountability, and perseverance in accordance with company values
PREFERENCES
? Experience in traditional infrastructure operations
? Experience in FinOps
? Certifications in Azure, AWS, and GCP
