Job Title: Epic Patient Acces Consultant
Job Type: 6-Month Contract
Job Location: Remote (with Travel 1x/month to FL)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Epic Prelude & Cadence Consultant with strong expertise in RTE (Real-Time Eligibility), Referrals, and Authorizations (NOA) to support build, optimization, and operational collaboration efforts. This role will partner closely with IT and Operations to enhance workflows, support payer integrations, and drive effective change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Epic build, configuration, and optimization support within Prelude and Cadence modules
- Lead and support RTE and NOA workflows, including eligibility verification and authorization processes
- Design, build, and maintain Referrals and Authorizations workflows in alignment with operational needs
- Configure and manage electronic consent, SmartForms, and related documentation workflows
- Build and manage Workqueues, including monitoring, optimization, and issue resolution
- Support payer plan integration, ensuring accurate configuration and seamless eligibility and authorization processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and operational stakeholders to ensure end-to-end workflow efficiency
- Actively support change management initiatives, including workflow adoption and process improvement
- Coach and mentor analysts and operational users, sharing best practices and Epic expertise
Required Qualifications
- Epic Certification in Prelude and Cadence (Core)
- Epic RTE Certification with hands-on experience supporting RTE and NOA
- Proven experience with Referrals and Authorizations build and support
- Strong experience with electronic consent build, SmartForms, and Workqueue configuration and management
- Experience supporting payer plan integrations
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across IT and Operations teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coach, guide, and influence stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting ambulatory access or scheduling operations
- Prior involvement in workflow redesign or optimization initiatives
- Experience supporting go-live, stabilization, or post-implementation optimization
