Job Title: Sr. Software Test Engineer
Location: Remote (LATAM)
Job-Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $20-$30/hr.
Position Overview:
Seeking a Sr. Software Test Engineer for a rapidly growing company in Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end testing efforts and ensuring quality, performance, security, and reliability of software products across the organization. This role leads testing across both manual and automated testing efforts. The Sr. Software Test Engineer partners closely with technical teams and stakeholders to validate that solutions meet business and technical requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive automated and manual test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks, primarily using Cypress
- Update test suites to reflect new features, enhancements, and system changes
- Document clear, detailed bug reports with reproducible steps and supporting logs
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot, validate fixes, and ensure resolution
- Maintain accurate test documentation and quality records
- Develop and communicate testing strategies and procedures
- Provide status updates on QA activities and project quality metrics
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of software test engineering experience
- Experience using Cypress automation and Cypress Dashboard
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript
- Extensive database experience (SQL Server, MySQL, Azure Data Studio or SSMS preferred)
- Experience developing test plans and cases from business and technical requirements
- Experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
Nice to Have Experience:
- Working knowledge of, or experience C# and Python
- Experience with TestRail, Bitbucket, Jira. Etc.
- Experience with CI/CD tools
