Transportation Management System (TMS) Project Manager
Focus:
This role will lead the delivery and enhancement of Transportation Management System capabilities that support freight planning, logistics execution, and transportation visibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Delivery
Partner with supply chain, logistics, and technology teams to define and deliver transportation system capabilities that support planning, carrier management, shipment execution, and freight settlement.
Technology Integration
Support system design and functionality decisions related to the TMS platform and its integration with enterprise systems such as ERP, warehouse management, and order management platforms.
Agile Delivery & Release Management
Create and manage user stories, support backlog prioritization, and coordinate sprint planning activities. Ensure readiness for system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Transportation Process Alignment
Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure system functionality aligns with transportation and logistics processes including routing, load planning, carrier selection, and shipment tracking.
Production Support & Continuous Improvement
Manage defects, enhancements, and new initiatives while supporting ongoing improvements to the transportation platform.
Cross Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with process, deployment, and operations teams to ensure solutions are scalable, operationally viable, and successfully implemented.
Key Experience
• Experience working with Transportation Management Systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, SAP Transportation Management, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of transportation and logistics processes
• Experience delivering system implementations or enhancements within supply chain technology environments
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Strong stakeholder management and cross functional collaboration skills
