Role: Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Analyst / Developer
Req Type: Contract to Hire (Must Convert to FTE)
Role Snapshot
- Location: Hybrid – Mississauga or Toronto (3 days onsite) (open to remote)
- Contract Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire
- Team: Lean, newly formed Dynamics team (platform implemented ~8 months ago)
Why This Role Exists
The organization is scaling its Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment and needs a senior, hands on Functional Analyst / Developer to help stabilize, optimize, and scale the platform. This role bridges business stakeholders and technical delivery and will be foundational in shaping how Dynamics supports post sales, delivery, and field service operations.
Day to Day Focus
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and roadmap priorities
- Translate requirements into scalable D365 configurations and solutions
- Work closely with developers on solution design and delivery
- Configure Dynamics (forms, workflows, business rules, entities)
- Drive automation and integration across systems
- Troubleshoot issues and implement long term fixes
Core Responsibilities
- Configure and extend Dynamics 365 CRM, primarily Field Service and Project Operations
- Build automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, Logic Apps, and Dataverse
- Develop and support custom plugins, workflows, and actions
- Support integrations with Salesforce, finance systems, and internal APIs
- Ensure data integrity and support data model enhancements
- Participate in CI/CD and DevOps processes
- Document functional and technical designs
- Support UAT, training, and change management
- Operate within Agile delivery practices
Technical Must Haves
- 4+ years in a Dynamics 365 Functional Analyst or Developer role
- Strong hands on D365 configuration and customization experience
- Experience in a cloud based environment
- Strong Power Platform experience (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
- Experience with Logic Apps
- Ability to build custom plugins and workflows (C#)
- Familiarity with Web API, REST, FetchXML, OData
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (GitHub or similar)
- Experience integrating D365 with other enterprise systems
