Platform Security Engineer (Nearshore)
Role Overview
The Platform Security Engineer will support security administration and governance for the enterprise data platform ecosystem, with a focus on Databricks and Snowflake environments.
This role will help address a backlog of security initiatives related to enterprise risk and resilience, while ensuring the platform meets organizational security standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Security Administration
- Administer security controls across Databricks and Snowflake environments.
- Implement and manage role-based access control (RBAC).
- Monitor and enforce platform security policies.
Security Enhancements
- Support implementation of security hardening initiatives.
- Assist with remediation of security findings and vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements to platform security posture.
Identity and Access Management
- Manage user access and permissions across the platform ecosystem.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance policies.
- Support audit and compliance activities.
Risk and Compliance
- Partner with enterprise risk and resilience teams to implement security initiatives.
- Assist with documenting and implementing security standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience administering security within Databricks or Snowflake
- Experience implementing RBAC and access governance
- Strong understanding of enterprise data platform security
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud security within Azure environments
- Experience supporting enterprise security programs
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks
