Program Manager (Tech)
San Diego, CA (Hybrid Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (9+ months)
Pay Rate: $90-$104.90/hr
We are seeking a highly effective Program Manager to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives within a fast-paced technology environment. This role is focused on execution excellence—translating leadership priorities into structured plans, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring consistent delivery across teams.
This is not an M&A-focused role. Instead, we’re looking for a strong operator with deep program management expertise who thrives in ambiguity and brings rigor to fast-moving initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Translate leadership priorities into clear execution plans, including defined workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and decision points
- Lead cross-functional operating rhythms (e.g., standups, stakeholder syncs, executive updates) to ensure alignment and momentum
- Drive end-to-end program execution, maintaining visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes
- Proactively identify risks, gaps, and blockers; assign ownership and drive resolution with clear timelines
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Operations, GTM, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and Support
- Develop executive-ready communications such as status reports, RAID logs, decision logs, and milestone updates
- Ensure stakeholder alignment and support effective change management across multiple teams
- Provide clear escalation paths and structured recommendations (options, tradeoffs) to support leadership decision-making
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Program Manager in a fast-paced technology company
- Strong program management fundamentals: planning, execution, dependency management, RAID tracking, and operating cadence
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to synthesize complex information for executive audiences
- Self-starter mindset: proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations with cross-functional collaboration across all levels (IC to executive)
