Job Title: Security Administrator
Job Type: Contract | Contract-to-hire
Job Location: Hybrid, Cincinnati, OH
Gravity IT Resources is seeking a long term Security Administrator contractor for a growing client of ours. There is potential for this role to become permanent and/or evolve into larger opportunities. This role focuses on safeguarding systems, maintaining security infrastructure, and responding to incidents across a complex technical environment.
What You’ll Do
- Investigate and resolve security alerts, vulnerabilities, and system issues
- Maintain and enhance firewall configurations, access controls, and security policies
- Track system health and security performance, providing regular updates and insight
- Create and refine documentation, procedures, and operational workflows
- Coordinate system updates and changes with internal stakeholders to minimize disruption
- Support secure connections between external partners and internal systems
- Review logs and alerts to identify, diagnose, and remediate potential threats
- Contribute to organization-wide security awareness and training efforts
- Perform in-depth analysis of incidents to determine root cause and prevention strategies
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline
- 3+ years of experience working with network security and firewall technologies
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
