Overview
The IT Technical Engineering Analyst is responsible for engineering, implementing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure to deliver secure, highly available, and performant connectivity services. The scope includes campus and WAN/LAN switching and routing, WLAN, and VoIP/collaboration platforms. The role requires strong analytical and diagnostic skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and effective communication with technical teams, management, end users, and external vendors/technology partners. The successful candidate will apply hands-on expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting large-scale LAN, WAN, and wireless networks and must be able and available to travel to multiple operational sites across Central Florida as required

Duties and Responsibilities

 
  • Engineer, configure, and deploy network infrastructure (routers, L2/L3 switches, next-generation firewalls, and WLAN) in accordance with established architecture, security baselines, and global standards.
  • Diagnose and remediate complex incidents across routing, switching, firewalling, and voice/collaboration domains using packet captures, log analytics, and systematic fault isolation.
  • Support unified communications and collaboration services including cloud IP telephony, video conferencing, and meeting-room A/V endpoints; coordinate troubleshooting with carriers and service providers as needed.
  • Monitor, baseline, and analyze network utilization and performance (latency, jitter, loss, throughput) to validate capacity, ensure SLA adherence, and drive proactive remediation.
  • Develop and maintain network-as-built documentation (topologies, IP schemas, standards, and operational runbooks) to support change management, audits, and incident response
  • Collaborate with the Global Network Architecture team in the implementation of new projects.
 
  • Execute MACD (move, add, change, disconnect) activities for structured cabling, switching/routing ports, wireless coverage adjustments, and related IT infrastructure changes.
  • Implement approved network enhancements (configuration standards, segmentation, security policy updates) and drive continuous improvement across LAN/WAN/WLAN services.
  • Define and execute validation and test procedures for network changes (pre/post checks, failover testing, performance verification) to support overall quality assurance.
  • Partner with site stakeholders and IT governance to schedule, communicate, and implement infrastructure changes with minimal operational impact.
 
 
  • Support IT asset and service procurement activities (hardware, software, services, and licensing) and track contract renewals to maintain compliance and continuity of support.
  • Support TEMS (Telecom Expense Management & Support) operations by coordinating with carriers, ISPs, and service partners and interfacing with internal IT governance for circuit inventory, billing, and dispute resolution.
