Job Title: Manager, Cybersecurity
Location: Dallas, TX
Job-Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $150K – $165K
Position Overview:
The Cybersecurity Manager will lead the design, implementation, and maturation of the organization’s cybersecurity program within a cloud-first environment (primarily Azure, with some AWS). This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building a scalable security framework, optimizing existing tools, and strengthening the company’s overall security posture.
This role bridges strategy and execution—ideal for a technically strong security engineer who can lead a small team while actively implementing and configuring security technologies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the enterprise cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, and governance framework
- Manage and mentor a small security team (2 engineers) while remaining deeply hands-on
- Implement, configure, and optimize existing security tools, including:
- Wiz (cloud security posture)
- Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)
- Zscaler (ZIA fully deployed; ZPA/Zero Trust needs further implementation)
- Microsoft Entra ID (IAM; advancing toward SSO maturity)
- Drive adoption of Zero Trust architecture, identity-centric security, and SSO capabilities
- Oversee daily security operations, including monitoring, detection, incident response, and remediation
- Lead vulnerability management across cloud infrastructure, applications, and endpoints
- Partner with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure secure configuration and hardening of cloud environments
- Establish security metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement processes
- Lead risk assessments, audits, and compliance efforts (e.g., NIST, CIS, SOC 2, ISO)
- Manage security projects, timelines, and cross-functional initiatives
- Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience planning
Required Experience & Skills:
- 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, with 3+ years in a lead or management role
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud security in Azure environments (AWS a plus)
- Proven experience with SIEM, IAM, CSPM, and Zero Trust technologies
- Demonstrated ability to both lead and execute technically in lean environments
- Experience building or maturing security programs and frameworks
- Strong understanding of identity and access management and modern security architectures
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, etc.) preferred
