Job Title: Information Security Architect
Location: Utah / Hybrid
Job-Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $160K – $180K
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly versatile Information Security Architect to serve as a senior technical leader across the security organization. This role will partner closely with leadership across Security Operations, GRC, Application Security, and Security Engineering to help drive security strategy, architecture, and operational maturity across the company.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who thrives as a “Swiss Army knife” security professional — equally comfortable jumping into threat modeling, incident response, cloud security architecture, security engineering, and cross-functional security initiatives. The ideal candidate is technically deep, collaborative, adaptable, and excited about leveraging AI to improve security operations and outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to influence security strategy and architecture across a scaling SaaS business that is heavily invested in modern cloud and AI-driven technologies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders across Security Operations, GRC, Application Security, and Security Engineering to address high-priority security initiatives and emerging risks.
- Lead and contribute to threat modeling exercises, architectural risk assessments, and incident response efforts across cloud and corporate environments.
- Design and evolve security architecture patterns across AWS infrastructure, SaaS platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Help define and implement scalable security controls related to IAM, data protection, logging, telemetry, endpoint security, and third-party integrations.
- Conduct security architecture reviews for new systems, integrations, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with SecOps to improve detection capabilities, visibility, telemetry quality, and response effectiveness.
- Support security investigations by providing technical guidance, architectural context, and remediation recommendations.
- Partner with GRC and compliance teams to support security standards and frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Create and maintain clear architecture documentation, standards, and security guidance for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor and influence engineering and security teams by promoting best practices and secure-by-design approaches.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve security operations, analysis, documentation, threat modeling, and overall efficiency.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 6–10+ years of experience in information security, cloud security, security engineering, incident response, or related disciplines.
- Strong hands-on experience across multiple security domains, including threat modeling, incident response, cloud security, application security, and security operations.
- Experience operating as a broad technical security leader capable of supporting diverse security functions.
- Strong AWS security experience, including IAM, networking, encryption, logging, monitoring, and cloud-native security controls.
- Ability to independently assess risk and provide practical, scalable security guidance.
- Experience collaborating across technical and business teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across organizations.
- Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm around AI technologies and their practical application within security programs.
